I finally was able to pick at the rear suspension. Piece by piece, it came together.

I finally was able to pick at the rear suspension. Piece by piece, it came together.

New springs! Much better than the factory/hacked ones. I had the new ones made at Spring Service in Regina.

New hardware was necessary for the new 18mm bushings and bolts.

3-inch lowering blocks were deemed necessary. They are Belltech #6202. They required some mild modification to fit.

Boom baby! It all came together successfully.

Now to load up the rear to settle those springs a bit... Next piece of the project will be the new aluminium fuel tank and finishing the interior.

I started fiberglassing the dash pad with a raised middle to fit a modern JL-Audio speaker.

Image: http://i1018.photobucket.com/albums/af302/2slo2drag/1974%20Ford%20Courier/Camera008-3.jpg

Also, my dearest grandmother reupholstered the factory seats.
Now, my biggest project as of yet has been the front suspension.

I took out the lower control arms to try and figure out a solution for new shock absorbers. After tons of measuring and remeasuring, I settled on a set of Monroe's designed for a 1980 Chrysler LeBaron. Several weeks later, I had all the measurements right to weld the adapters together for the control arms.

BOOM!

Now to finish the interior, and get the rear suspension figured out...

A few things have been done since February. :emb:

For one, the intake was completed. It looks darn good, and really opens up the engine bay.

Then I started to tear up the interior hardcore to work on the electrical bits and dash pad. The radio now works, and so do the fan switches.
